Açai

In the US pronounced Akai, here ah-sa-ee (not too good at the phonetic spelling). In the US it’s in fashion now in fruit drinks/yogurt/other health foods, but here people drink it alone as a juice or as a creamy, ice-cream like dessert (although it could serve as a full meal by itself). Typically accompanied with sweetened condensed milk, bananas, and/or granola. Very distinctive sweet but also earthy taste, you either really like it or really don’t. I would fall in the former category.
