Braziliant Adventures

After our trip was postponed due to the rain, we finally made it to the beach. The town we went to is called Guaruja, and is one of the closer beach towns to SP, about an hour bus ride away.

Miraculously, there was almost not a cloud in the sky, which was wonderful except for the fact that my pasty white skin hasn’t been in that much sun since July, or earlier. After being super careful all day, I still was one of the most burnt of the group. Typical for me, but still disappointing. After about 7 hours of just hanging out in the water and on the beach, we headed back to the bus stop. Like good Americans, we bought $1 McDonald’s soft-serve cones while we were waiting, but unfortunately we ran into some French kids who are also exchange students at PUC. I say unfortunately because while we were covered in sand, sunburned, and eating ice cream, they were clean and not burnt and looked like they had just arrived. 3 cheers for perpetuating American stereotypes.
