Braziliant Adventures

Home Sweet Home

I arrived in São Paulo on January 5 after a 22 hour trip from Houston to New York to Brazil. We spent the first 2 days in a hotel for orientation with the program that I here with, CIEE. There are about 25 Americans in my program from schools all over the country, mostly from California, and the East Coast though. The first two days were nice, just getting to know everyone, getting a feel for what the semester will be like etc. On Monday, January 7, we all moved in to where we will be living for the rest of the semester. I am living at a student residence called Centro Cultural Angra. It’s summer vacation here now, so not everyone who I will be living with is here yet, but as of right now there are 13 people, 5 students and 8 other people who are recent/not-so-recent college grads who work full time.
